However, if a Hardcore character died before this date, a player will not be able to log in on this character, and therefore the progress would not be shared with other characters on the account. ![]() Once players have downloaded this patch and logged into their characters, they will begin sharing Renown progress with all other characters on the account. Season 1 Developer Update Summary Get a Head Start on Renown for Season 1Īfter last week's Developer Update Livestream, Diablo 4 Associate Game Director, Joseph Piepiora, clarified that in order for a Hardcore character to transfer their Renown earned by uncovering the map and claiming Altars of Lilith, the character would need to remain alive until the next patch - on July 18th. If you're currently playing Diablo 4 in Hardcore mode, you will need to keep your character alive until July 18th, in order to benefit from the Area discovery and Altars of Lilith Renown transfer beginning in Season of the Malignant. In order to transfer your character's Renown progress into Diablo 4's first season, you'll need to have a character that you can actually log into. ![]()
